Carer requirements

We work with experienced, self-employed carers who are serious about their work and the people they support. Here is what we look for:

Every carer is thoroughly vetted by our team, including identity checks, reference verification, and an in-person or video assessment, to find the most compassionate and skilled carers working in London today.

Minimum 2 years of professional care experience

Professional care work, not just informal or family caregiving.

Enhanced DBS check

Current enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to apply through us.

Care Certificate or equivalent

Nationally recognised qualification or equivalent professional training.

Public liability insurance

As a self-employed carer, you will need your own insurance. We can point you in the right direction.

Two professional references

We verify all references personally, as part of our vetting process.

Right to work in the UK

Documentation confirming your legal right to work as a self-employed individual.

Reward Carer Programme

Earn more the more you grow.

Build consistent, quality work through Hibant and you can optionally switch to a lower fee. The Reward Carer Programme reduces your platform fee from 10% to 8% plus a small £5/month subscription, because loyalty should work both ways.
