Our commitment

We believe that everyone should be able to access information about care. Many of the people who use Hibant, or who support someone who does, may themselves have accessibility needs. That makes it especially important to us that our website works well for everyone, regardless of disability, device, or circumstance.

We are working to ensure hibantcare.com meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

How accessible this website is

We are actively developing this site and are aware that it may not yet fully meet AA standards in all areas. We know about the following areas we are working to improve:

• Some SVG illustrations do not yet have full text alternatives
• Keyboard navigation through the carer search and filter controls may not be fully optimised
• The portal dashboard may have some areas where focus management could be improved

Our pages use semantic HTML, sufficient colour contrast, and are navigable by keyboard. Forms include visible labels. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or function.
