About Hibant

Why we started Hibant.

Because finding care for someone you love should feel guided, personal, and genuinely human.

Why Hibant exists

Our founder spent two years as a care worker, and Hibant grew directly out of what that showed.

For families, care can feel impersonal. A different carer each week, relationships that never quite form, and no real chance to know whether someone fits before the care starts.

For carers, the work can be exhausting. Long hours, little choice, and pay that does not reflect the skill or the emotional weight of it.

Hibant exists to bring care back to what it should be: human, relational, and built on trust.

Fair pay, better care

A home care worker in the UK typically earns between GBP 12.21 and GBP 14 an hour, often less once unpaid travel between visits is counted. It is one of the most demanding jobs in the country and one of the least rewarded. The result is a sector with high turnover, tired workers, and families who rarely see the same face twice.

Carers on Hibant set their own rate and keep every penny of it. We take no commission and no cut of anyone's care. In practice that puts carers here at around GBP 20 an hour against a sector average near GBP 13. Not through magic: simply by removing the layer that has always sat between a carer and the family she works for.

Families do not pay more for better care. They pay in a way that reaches the carer. And when a carer is properly paid, she stays, which is the whole point.

Built for real people, in real communities

Hibant starts in London because it is where we come from. London is not one place. It is hundreds of neighbourhoods, terraced streets and family homes where people are navigating something deeply personal, often quietly and often alone.

We want to build something that belongs here, and that supports the carers who show up every day.

We want care to feel like care. Warm, consistent, and given by someone who genuinely means it. The Hibant Care team

We have built something we believe in.

Whether you are looking for care, thinking about carer work, or simply want to follow along, we would be glad to hear from you.
